Studying History and Pursuing a Path in Law

Ever since I was a young child, I've found myself fascinated with the history of the world. I'd buy tons of books on a wide variety of topics, such as the presidents, the Civil War, Asian History, Roman History, and many other subjects. This naturally led me to want to study history and pursue a career in the legal field, where most of the history of our country has been decided. Being an attorney also gives me a way to help the community by providing legal counsel to the people.
With the knowledge that I wanted to be challenged in my academic career, I decided to take many AP classes and a special technical career class to help further my historical and legal ambitions. I was lucky enough to attend Gulfport High School, which has an award-winning CTE program where I got to take my Law and Public Safety course. I was also involved in the Gulfport High School Admiral Band, which stimulated my academic growth by providing me with sharper brain function, a sense of community, and teamwork skills. I was also involved in my French class as I believe learning a foreign language in today's ever-evolving multi-cultural world.
Throughout my educational career, I have been in several organizations such as the National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Beta Club, which have all provided me with opportunities to serve my community. I have always felt as if my community needed more help from within itself, which made me decide I wanted to serve throughout my academic career. Every time I have been involved in a community service project, I feel amazing afterward, seeing what I was able to do for the community.
I find that being involved in extracurricular activities such as band has helped shape me into a well-rounded person and a lifelong learner. Through my extracurricular activities, I have been able to gain meaningful skills, gain leadership and teamwork experience, and meet several of my greatest friends.
My experiences throughout my academic career have molded me into who I am today. I am honored to have the experience that I have today.
My time in various community service clubs has given me a different outlook on community service as a whole. I believe that everyone should get involved in their community in some way, and I plan to get involved on campus at my university.
